Spike Lee has directed some of the most influential films of the last thirty years, winning a BAFTA and being nominated for both an Oscar and the Palme D’Or in the process. Inspired by his students at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts, a faculty of New York University, US, the controversial director is turning to crowd-funding website, Kickstarter, to raise funds for his latest project – a very personal film that he remains tight-lipped about.
Since the interview was published Spike Lee successfully reached his Kickstarter goal.
