‘Courtney Love: lost in the fog of drama and misdemeanours’ republished

“There was one point in the nineties when I was begging on the streets of Hollywood Boulevard. And then I got a promotion to stripper. So you know, I do know what it’s like to be homeless,” says US rock singer, Courtney Love.

Over the years, Love the artist, musician and songwriter, has often got a little lost in the fog of drama and misdemeanours. She spoke to The Big Issue in the North from her home in Los Angeles, USA, about her first new music in four years and reforming her critically acclaimed band, Hole. Love also talked about apologising to Bruce Springsteen, making up with Dave Grohl and coping with the twentieth anniversary of the death of her late husband, Kurt Cobain.
